Exploring Career Opportunities in Miami!
In 2022, HBSA journeyed to Miami, where members participated in leadership development sessions and visited major companies including Univision Studios and American Airlines headquarters. Students also connected with local entrepreneurs at Anny’s Bread Factory, gaining insight into business ownership and innovation. The trip combined professional growth with cultural experiences, leaving members with lasting lessons and connections from one of the most diverse business regions in the U.S. metropolitan area.


Event Highlights: HBSA Corporate Trip to Miami
Leadership Development Exercise
Led by Mark Madrid, the group participated in a dynamic leadership workshop at Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell Downtown. This session covered essential skills, including public speaking, managing conflict, and communicating with influential leaders. Members also discussed personal goals and explored key concepts from Robert Greene’s book, Power.
Univision Studios
HBSA visited Univision Studios, where members met with Monika Mantilla from Ventura Capital and attended a fireside chat hosted by Mark Madrid. The experience included a tour of the studios, a live Q&A session, and valuable insights into media, finance, and entrepreneurship.
American Airlines Headquarters
The group toured American Airlines’ Miami facility, engaging with senior executives who provided an overview of operations and career opportunities within the airline industry. HBSA members gained insights into the aviation sector, including networking opportunities and hands-on exposure to key aspects of the field.


Anny’s Bread Factory
Members visited Anny’s Bread Factory to learn from CEO Yaeli Merenfeld. This event provided a firsthand look at entrepreneurship in the food industry, with insights into brand growth, innovation, and resilience in a competitive market.
Fort Lauderdale Event and Closing Dinner
HBSA wrapped up the Miami trip with an event at the Spa at Auberge Beach, hosted by David Andalcio. The evening featured a closing dinner, celebrating the knowledge and connections gained over the course of the trip, while giving members a chance to reflect on their experiences with peers and mentors.
